Insulation Rigid Felt is a kind of composite insulation material specially designed for high temperature extreme environment, the use of carbon fiber and carbon cloth lamination composite process, combined with high temperature carbonization/graphitization treatment technology, has ultra-high purity (ash ≤10ppm), excellent thermal stability and mechanical strength. The material is designed for use in thermal insulation systems in silicon carbide (SiC) single crystal growth furnaces to meet the demanding thermal field uniformity, temperature gradient and impurity control requirements of the physical vapor transfer (PVT) method.


Material and process characteristics


Composite structure design

Surface carbon cloth reinforcement: through a special process to carbon fiber felt and high-density carbon cloth composite, the surface to form a dense protective layer, effectively prevent high temperature air wash and fiber shedding, reduce the release of impurities.

Multi-layer integration process: the core layer is carbon fiber felt, and the graphite paper or carbon cloth is embedded in the middle. After secondary high temperature purification (≥2000℃), the material structure is densified and the impurities are deeply removed.

Ultra-low impurity purity

Ash content ≤10ppm, ensure that there is no metal ions, SiO₂ and other impurities volatilization in high temperature environment, avoid polluting the crystal growth interface, improve the purity of silicon carbide single crystal and defect control level 19.

Process adaptability

Customized surface treatments (such as graphite foil coating, antioxidant coating), suitable for vacuum or inert gas (Ar, N₂) environment, operating temperatures covering 1200 ° C to 3000 ° C.
